The problem

The hard problem in phone accessories is compatibility. A customer arriving for an iPhone 16 Pro Max case must never be shown a product that does not fit their phone. Get it wrong and you generate returns, support tickets and one-star reviews, each of which costs more than the sale was worth.

What I did

  1. Built a device and model selector spanning the full iPhone range, so compatibility is resolved before checkout rather than after delivery.

  2. Structured the catalogue across five product lines: cases, MagSafe accessories, chargers and cables, screen protectors and general accessories.

  3. Built bundle product structures for multi-function items such as the 3-in-1 magnetic charger.

  4. Surfaced trust signals — 30-day returns, 2-year warranty — at the purchase decision point rather than in a policy page.

  5. Implemented the review display so 2,400+ reviews load as social proof without harming Core Web Vitals.

Result

Compatibility confusion is designed out rather than handled by support. The store carries over 2,400 verified reviews at a 4.9 average, with social proof visible at every stage of the buying decision.

Worth knowing

The most valuable thing a product page can do in this category is prevent a wrong purchase. A selector that refuses to show an incompatible product is worth more than any amount of persuasion on the page.
